Summer, 4th of July, the best part is corn on the cob! I really like corn on the cob. I just love the sound  the cob makes when I bite into it.

Uh-oh, I hear foot steps…

 

Um, we-ell yes, I did get it out of the compost.

You’re not going to take it away from me are you?

 

Throw the ball, throw the ball, please throw the ball. I’ll catch it. I promise,

unless I forget

 

And get distracted with something like that. What’s her deal anyway?

 

 

 

I got it! Now just a minute, while I take a victory lap, get a drink of water, leave the ball in my water bowl and come back to wonder why you wont throw the ball.

 

 

Look, no hands!

 

 

Nah, I don’t want to bring it back.

Loopy may be a great great Gramma cat with frostbit ears but she still lets everyone know who's boss.

Georgia is a border collie mix and can't help trying to herd everything and anything. She works with what she has, most of the time it's just butterflies and cats.

Loopy does not appreciate any attempts being herded.

Catnip is something she quite enjoys.

Sometimes she gets into it

It just hits the spot.

Georgia is interested in catnip and is open to trying some. It can't be any worse than grass. She cheerfully panted, dangled her tongue out in a friendly manner and scootched  a little closer.

Loopy let out a low mama cat growl.

Then she stared that mean Loopy stare that means there's a line here in the dirt and you'd better not cross it or you just might have a piercing in that stupid tongue of yours.

Georgia saw her ball and decided that might be a better idea. She let it roll in Loopy's direction

and then just HAD to go get it in her most hyper and energetic manner.

 Loopy jumped straight up in the air and muttered something about I kill you one time!



OK, OK, I stopped.

Aww, C'mon Loopy, I'm just a nice doggy who just chews old grape stems from the compost pile.

It may be winter according to the calendar

but here in Tennessee


Boys have rocks to throw in the water


just because.


And boats are getting ready for spring.


Spring? who needs to wait for spring


February is a perfectly good time for playing fetch in the water

Plus there is just something fun and freeing about shaking off in front of your owner and that girl with the camera

Dumb and Dumber now live next door. I went to take pictures of them. They are very friendly and they followed me home!



They got a big hug from Papa.



Their paws are so funny.



Dumb doesn't even know his ear is inside out!



Dumber supposedly has a broken or fractured hip or leg. I'm sure he was supposed to be taking it easy on the porch but he forgot all about it when he saw Dumb running down the road after me.



I walked them home.



Then I walked home and they followed me!



So I gave up. I was not going to walk down the road AGAIN! I went inside and hoped they'd go away.
